Gen Con is right around the corner and the newest D&D organized play campaign, the D&D Adventurers League, makes its debut there. The first D&D Expeditions adventure becomes available for play shortly thereafter. So it’s a great time to announce that we’ve added support for this new campaign to Warhorn!
The Warhorn home page for all things Adventurers League is https://warhorn.net/campaigns/dnd-adventurers-league. Here you can browse the list of available scenarios and find when and where they’ll be offered at locations near you. We can tell that anticipation for the new campaign run high; as of this writing 78 upcoming sessions of DDEX1-1 Defiance in Phlan are already scheduled for Warhorn events!
As we find out more about how factions work in this new campaign we’ll add more information about them to the catalog so that you can find the adventures that are particularly well-suited for your character.
Please give us a shout at info@warhorn.net if you have questions, concerns or additional information about the D&D Adventurers League. Good luck to those of you taking on the Cult of the Dragon at Gen Con in the first special event of the campaign!
FYI, the Level range for DDEX1-1 Defiance in Phlan is 1 – 2, *not* 1 – 4.
Do you have a copy of the adventure that says so? The only information we have access to is http://dndadventurersleague.org/tyranny-of-dragons-premier-adventures/ which lists it as 1-4.
OK, so disregard this. I am a judge at GenCon running this and the module has the following:
Introduction
Welcome to Defiance in Phlan, a D&D Expeditions ™ adventure, part of the official D&D Adventurers League ™ organized play system and the Tyranny of Dragons ™ storyline season.
This introductory adventure is designed for three to seven 1st- level characters, and is optimized for five 1st level characters. It can also be played by 2nd level characters, although those characters might have a much easier time playing the adventure. Characters outside this level range cannot participate in this adventure. Players with ineligble characters can create a new 1st-level character or use a pregenerated character.
There was much discussion on the Gencon judges forum about this, including someone at a high level who would know confirming this, but shortly after I sent you the message saying it is Levels 1 – 2, they are now saying that they are going to expand it to Levels 1 – 4 since they erroneously posted that on the web site. Since peoples expectations are now 1 – 4 they are going to make changes to allow Levels 3 and 4.
Sorry for the wrong information. I was attempting to give you correct information.
Pat
